Since the uprisings began last month, Gaddafi has launched a barrage of airstrikes and ground attacks that have seen thousands of him own people killed.

The battle has centred around key oil ports in cities east of Tripoli that have been taken by the rebels. As the conflict continues, Gaddafi’s regime is being deprived of millions of pounds in oil revenue.

Yesterday there was a renewed sense of confidence in the frontline town of Ajdabiya.

The revolutionaries will hope that their battle for Libya follows the same story as Mad Max who eventually captures Toecutter’s young protege, Johnny, who could easily have been played by Gaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam

As Max’s battle against the evil gang continues, he dons his police leathers and triumphs when he hunts down and kills the gangleaders Bubba and Toecutter.
