Venezuela wins Miss International pageant 2010 (Videos)

Venezuela’s candidate Elizabeth Mosquera was crowned Sunday as Miss International 2010 in Chengdu city in southwest China.

It was the 50th Anniversary of the Miss International pageant, and the 5th triumph for Venezuela in the competition. The 19-year-old Elizabeth Mosquera is a native of Zulia state in Venezuela and is studying Engineering at the University of Zulia.

Thailand’s Piyaporn Deejing was first runner-up and China’s Yuan Siyi was second. Sixty-eight contestants competed for the Miss International title, the highest number in the pageant’s history.
